Hi there, I'm Emilio! My name is Emilio Rubalcava Jr and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist! I am a first-generation Mexican American who is bilingual (Spanish). I use a mix of Solution Focused Therapy and Bowenian Family Systems Therapy are utilized during my work with my clients. My approach My style is authentic, collaborative, kind, and direct. Safety is a top priority. My goal is to help you gain insight and awareness. Gained insight can propel us forward into making the necessary changes. I will be here every step of the way rooting for you and holding you accountable. My focus I provide nurturing, compassionate, and supportive therapy to individuals and families. I work with adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, issues of self-worth, grief and loss. I wholeheartedly believe in our ability to transform, heal, and grow; sometimes we just need a helping hand to guide us along in that transformative journey. My communication style I bring compassion and mindful attention to accompany my clients in navigating life's struggles, stressors, and transitions. I use a nonjudgmental approach in addressing my clients' experiences. My journey to mental healthcare I officially began my journey in mental health in 2013 working in a Mental Rehabilitation Center. I saw the benefits of psychotherapy and decided to go back to school to earn a degree in Counseling. I have been a clinician since 2018. My goal prior to obtaining my Master's degree in Counseling has always been to help people who are traditionally underserved and struggle to find therapeutic care. My unique experiences have taught me that I can make a difference regardless if I am helping someone put on shoes, de-escalating an upsetting situation, or simply being present and listening! My goals for you I encourage my clients to use their own curiosity and commitment to work through issues supporting their decisions on areas they need support in.
